These days, everyone is looking for ways to save money. The popularity of online coupons is soaring. But the Better Business Bureau wants to warn people that what may seem like a good deal, isn’t always.
If printing the coupon requires you to divulge personal information, be careful! You could be putting yourself at risk for identity theft. Also, be cautious about pop-up ads that require you to immediately click to redeem. Thousands of people have complained to the BBB that this triggered signing up for a fee-based service that they didn’t want…or need.
And finally, make sure that you read the fine print for the expiration date, any exclusions and whether or not it’s good for online purchases only.
