Have you received a call recently warning you that your automobile warranty is about to expire? Many people have complained to the Better Business Bureau about these types of calls, which tell consumers that they need to take immediate action in order to avoid a lapse in coverage.
This call is actually a sales tool used by companies who are selling an extended service contract. And, despite the impression given, the offer is not associated with the car manufacturer’s warranty. In many cases there can be so many exclusions and conditions that the contract actually has little to no value.
Don’t let a company’s “scare tactics” drive you to purchase such a product.
