Did you purchase your Chrysler or GM vehicle from a dealership that has or will be closing? If so, you’re not alone. Chrysler estimates that more than 4 million people will be affected. This is causing some concerns about how warranties or future service needs are affected.
Fear not! Both Chrysler and GM confirm that even though your local dealership is closing, the companies will honor their manufacturers’ warranty that came with your car. And, even though you might have to drive a little farther to get your car serviced, another Chrysler or GM dealership will help you. Chrysler reports that they’ll be sending letters to owners this summer, letting them know where to take their car for service.
